The Club runs on two clear currencies. Avios are collected on British Airways and partner flights and on a wide range of everyday purchases, then spent on flights, upgrades, hotels, car hire and more. Tier points are earned on British Airways flights and holidays and with oneworld partners, and they carry members from Blue to Bronze, Silver and Gold. Higher tiers bring priority check-in and boarding, free seat selection, lounge access and, at Gold, First lounges and extra Reward Flight availability. Since 25 November 2025, members automatically earn extra tier points on flights and holidays, with no need to register. Families can pool Avios in a free household account with up to six other people, including children, and Avios only expire after three years without activity. New members can even claim Avios on British Airways flights taken in the three months before they joined. British Airways Club Live adds tickets reserved for members at live events at British Airways ARC, and the Avios app can alert members when reward seats open on selected flights.
