The Emerald Club is National Car Rental's loyalty programme, designed to make renting a car faster and easier. Members can head to the Emerald Aisle, choose a car and get on their way. Every qualifying rental earns credits towards Free Rental Days, and frequent renters step up to Executive and Executive Elite status. With National, Green Means Go.
Why it works
Emerald Club is built around speed, choice and control. At Emerald Aisle locations in the US and Canada, members choose any midsize or larger car and pay the midsize rate they reserved. Emerald Checkout in the National app lets them scan a car in the aisle, check its details and drive out with a Virtual Pass barcode. Each qualifying rental earns one rental credit, and credits turn into Free Rental Days, with fewer needed at Executive and Executive Elite. Members who prefer can take frequent flyer miles or hotel rewards instead, and rentals at participating Enterprise Rent-A-Car locations count too. Everyday touches add up: no second driver fees for family members and business associates, email receipts with Drop & Go, and a free one-class upgrade, when available, at participating locations in the UK, Ireland, France, Spain and Germany. Executive members are guaranteed an upgrade when they reserve a full-size to luxury car in the US and Canada. Membership costs nothing, and the club has been running since St Patrick's Day 1987.
