Starbucks Rewards turns your daily coffee routine into free drinks, food and more. Collect Stars when you order in the app, on the web or scan in the café, then swap them for Rewards starting at just 25 Stars. Keep earning and your status grows from Green to Gold to Reserve, with more Stars per dollar and extra benefits at every level. It's free to join, and your birthday brings a free treat every year.
Why it works
Members can redeem small or save up. There are six redemption tiers, from 25 Stars for $1 off a drink customisation to 400 Stars for select merchandise or packaged Starbucks Reserve coffee, with handcrafted drinks and hot breakfast at 200. Status is based on Stars earned in a 12-month period: Green below 500, Gold from 500 and Reserve from 2,500. Each step lifts the earn rate, from 1 Star per $1 to 1.2 and then 1.7. Gold and Reserve Stars don't expire while that status is held, and those members get 4 or 6 extra Double Star Days a year and longer to claim the birthday treat (7 days for Gold, 30 for Reserve). Every member gets Free Mod Mondays, one free drink customisation a month worth up to $2. A clean personal cup doubles the Stars on that visit, and digital reloads of $30 or more add Bonus Stars. Reserve members also get access to exclusive global coffee experiences and a free personalised Reserve Card, and linking a Delta or Marriott Bonvoy account opens up more ways to earn.
